Grant Funding
Applying for government grants, as part of your student loan application, may feel daunting, but we’re here to help! The Student Service Centre can assist with your application and advise on how to manage your loans and pay for your education.
Grants are available to students from low and middle-income families, students with disabilities and students in special circumstances. Grants do not have to be repaid.
Grants 101 Workshops
Thinking about applying for grants? Attend one of our Grants 101 workshops, where our Student Financial Support team will explain what a grant is and how the grants and loans application processes are connected.
Workshops will be offered in August, September, October and January! Check back for more information to be released.
If you’d like to learn more about applying for student loans in general, check out one of our upcoming Students Loans 101 workshops this July and August.
Please note, you must be an Alberta resident to attend this workshop. If you’re not sure whether you qualify as an Alberta resident, learn how to determine your residency.
Note: Much of the information on this webpage is specific to Alberta students. In some cases you may need to refer to your provincial lending authority for more information.
