The U of A Library offers regular, free workshop series focusing on different tools (including Gen AI). Some previous internal (U of A) AI-related workshops organized by the Library include:

  1. ChatGPT 101: Introduction to Generative AI
  2. Beyond Search: AI-Powered Literature Review in the Age of Deep Research
  3. Using Generative AI in Research

Training

  1. Navigating Generative AI: Understanding, Applications, and Ethics!, an introduction to Gen AI with focus on its practical application and use in higher education.
  2. Research Skills Modules in Canvas, covering a variety of topics including those related to Gen AI.

Upcoming workshops and trainings

The Research Development Services (RDS) portfolio of the Office of the Vice-President Research will offer a series of workshops and training sessions on Gen AI and research grant development.
