New and renewal nominations: Please complete the CRC website forms, upload the associated attachments, and inform Glen Thomas (at crcadmin@ualberta.ca ) that the nomination is ready for review, by this date. Paper copies are not needed. Applicants will also create new projects on the RSO Researcher Homepage at this time and send the associated RES# to Glen Thomas. Please make initial contact with referees at this time asking if they are willing to provide letters due by March 2. Once you’ve confirmed referees’ participation, letters are managed by Glen Thomas (see “Getting Started Guide” for details). |
| Contact your Associate Dean (Research) and Amin Karim (RSO Finance) to discuss any possible CFI allocation related to an upcoming CRC application. |

| March 2, 2026 | Deadline for electronic copy of letters of reference to be received by CRC Coordinator & Advisor. Letters should be sent to: crcadmin@ualberta.ca. |
| March 2, 2026 | Results of the first internal review returned. |
| March 11, 2026 |
Nominations and renewal nominations: Please update all electronic files (on the Convergence Portal) for review and decision by the President’s Advisory Committee for Senior Academic Appointments (PACSAA). Notify Glen Thomas (crcadmin@ualberta.ca) when files are complete. |
| March 31, 2026 | Results of the review by PACSAA returned to applicants. |
| April 14, 2026 | Approved nominations: Please complete any requested revisions to the forms and upload the revised attachments to the Convergence Portal by this date. This is your final copy. Glen Thomas will obtain the Provost's approval on the nomination. |
| April 21, 2026 | CRC Deadline: In cooperation with the Provost, Glen Thomas will submit approved nominations electronically to the Chairs Secretariat (Ottawa). |
| Sept. 18, 2026 | CV Updates – coordinated by Glen Thomas |
